Cambridge Centre for Finance

The Cambridge Centre for Finance (CCFin) is a research centre based in Cambridge Judge Business School. Its origins lie in the research activities of the Cambridge Endowment for Research in Finance (CERF). CERF is also the major funding body for research in finance throughout the University of Cambridge. CCFin operates in partnership with CERF, from which it receives administrative and financial support. The work of the CCFin focuses on the theoretical and empirical analysis of a number of key research areas in finance, and corporate finance in particular. Topics currently being considered include corporate governance and agency, mergers and acquisitions, the role of asymmetric information for corporations and financial markets, real options and corporate investment, corporate payout policy, financial accounting, and corporate capital structure. The CCFin is a continuation of the Centre for Financial Analysis and Policy (CFAP) and was renamed in 2014.
